Description

Decided to do this with Julie because I still have most of the different stages of her development. Most the others have been refined and changed more, but were done on physical media that is lost to the cosmos, for all I know.

Left: First time trying to really draw a woman. Not great. features are long, and I didn't have any idea of hair. Could argue I still don't, but whatevs.

Center: Still wonky bone structure, manly neck, but I thought I got more of a curvy look (which you can't see because it's just a headshot. Better coloring, better shading.

Right: After many, many attempt to get the face better looking, more consistent, I decided to, once again, do a full figure. I feel the pose is better, proportions are too, and the face and head is what I was looking for. In the last year I've worked more with art books and reference photos, which I feel helped so much. So whatever changes occur for her now are likely going to be more gradual, or having to do with her coloring.

Wow your style has really come a long way! I agree, your proportions have improved a bunch. Very nice!
